The holiday shopping season is a marathon, not a sprint—and Centre Wellington makes it a beautiful stroll! Our historic downtowns have extended hours and free festivities starting in November to give you plenty of time to find that perfect gift.

Elora Starlight Shopping lights up the village and marks the official start of the season with late-night openings on multiple evenings in late November. Starting with November 20th and 21st, and continuing on November 27th and 28th, you can enjoy the charming atmosphere, browse unique boutiques, and see the town dazzlingly lit up. Then, the magic moves to Fergus for the annual Late Night Sip and Shop. Mark your calendars for two magical Friday evenings in December: Friday, December 5th and Friday, December 12th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The best part? Downtown Fergus transforms into a winter wonderland with a number of free community activities: enjoy complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides, listen to festive caroling, grab a photo with Santa, and warm up with hot chocolate!
